Purchasing our Cider

Our Rough Old Wife cider is available from several pubs, restaurants, farmshops and festivals within the West and East Kent regions. We like to keep it local which keeps logistics costs low (which we don’t then need to pass onto you so keeping our prices as keen as we can) and ensures we are close to our customer base.

However we are very pleased when visitors or those from further a field would like to try our cider. We therefore operate either a buy&collect service from the farm Cidery by appointment or can ship direct in 5 or 20 litre boxes to you within the UK (other European destinations by arrangement). Please note that we will require proof of age and/or Credit / Debit / Paypal when purchasing.

****From 2009 New service**** By popular demand we introduced a "Juice Your Own" service. This allows you to bring your own apples to our press and go away with your own pure apple juice for immediate use, storage or to make your own home consumption cider. Containers and casks are available and we welcome enquiries from groups or friends who would like to get together. Contact Simon for further details, pricing and availability.

****Cider Making Courses**** Many people asked us if we could impart our knowledge on the orchard and cider making. As such we now run throughout the year one day hands on introductory courses at the Cidery, other Kent venues, Suffolk and Nottinghamshire for those wanting to know the history and practicalities of cider making. Several are booked up already so contact Simon for information and availability or see the course page here. Ever wanted to make more of those forgotten rotting apples from your trees?.....then this is for you!

Our 2014 prices are as follows (we have tried to maintain at 2013 levels):

For Pub or Restaurant use:

20 litres – bag in box system. Easy push tap and branded front and rear labelling for simple bar identification. Cider stays airtight during draw-off and the complete 20 litres can be dispensed. New from 2009 - with the addition of a vitop connector (can be supplied) the tap can be connected into your existing draught cask pub system for hand-pull to the bar from the cellar. No modifications needed, box can stay cool in cellar, fits in 30 seconds, stays fresh for up to 3 months.

For home use or delivery over 40 miles within the UK:

5 litre - bag-in-box system, with easy push tap and stencilled box branding. Contents remain airtight during draw-off and the complete volume can be dispensed.

£20 plus postage and packaging at cost - Rough (Dry) and Tasty (Medium)
£25 plus postage and packaging at cost - Blushing Raspberry Cider & Spicy Mulled Cider

For collection from Great Holt Farm (by prior arrangement)

1 litre bottles – these are designed to be drunk within a few days of opening (we are sure they won’t last that long!). Also an ideal souvenir , present or reminder of your visit to us.

£5 & £6 (Blushing Raspberry / Spicy Mulled) per litre

5 litre - bag-in-box system, with easy push tap and box branding. Contents remain airtight during draw-off and the complete 5 litres can be dispensed.

£20 - Tasty Old Wife (Medium) or Rough Old Wife (Dry)
£25 - Blushing Old Wife (Raspberry Cider)

20 litre as above by arrangement these are becoming popular for events, weddings, parties or special occasions. We can also supply pumps and attachments if required. “Bring the drink you love in the pub to your home”

NB. All above collection only prices also include a free tour of our orchard and facilities if time permits. If you come back to us for collection (and we believe you will!) and return the 20 litre containers we will allow a £2.00 discount off your next purchase.
